Content Promotion Guidelines For Publishers

This section is mainly targeted at publishers to explain the type of acceptable practices when promoting content.

Promote Naturally

Don't ask people to click on your link because it is monetized. Promote and share content naturally as if it were not paid.

No Artificial Traffic

A click is considered artificial and invalid if it's not from a real person with a genuine interest. Thus using bots and other automated tools to generate fake traffic is strictly prohibited.

Don't Spam

Promote only where it makes sense. Promote to people who may have interest in the content. For example, don't link to an article about sports from a forum about pets. Don't repeatedly place the same link in the same place.
